Aloha
to the members of the Hawai`i Chamber of Commerce of Northern
California!
Aloha
and Happy Thanksgiving,
I have just returned from visiting Hawai'i, a little trip
to Maui and then home to the Big Island. If anyone is from
Hilo, I can report that as of November 19, 2001, nothing
much has changed since I left in 1986 and the happening
place is Walmart.
I am pleased to say that I took advantage of one of our
benefits and enjoyed a discounted hotel and golf package
from the Prince Hotel group. This is a great benefit and
we will be working on adding more partners to provid the
kama'aina treatment to all of us who have since lost our
Hawai'i State Drivers Licenses.
Each time I return I see the huge opportunity for the HCCNC
in working with the various businesses in the state as well
as Northern California. Everyone of us has contacts with
someone either owning or working with some business in Hawai'i
as well as here in the Bay Area. Each of these businesses
can benefit from the patronage of HCCNC and their members.
We want to begin an outreach program to these groups to
be included in the HCCNC family. If any one has contacts
with businesses that would be interested in participating
as a partner and the HCCNC Kama'aina discount program, please
forward their information to me at etao@hccnc.com.
This is all part of our mission to build the lines of communication
and commerce between Northern California and Hawai'i. As
always any comments or suggestions you may have for our
organization are welcome. One last note, we have also included
the alias www.hawaiibusiness.org
as a way to get to our website for all of you who forget
if get 2 "c's" or 3 "c's" in hccnc.com.
